Ingredients

Sourdough bread: 80g (2 slices), Fresh mozzarella: 60g (2 oz, sliced), Tomato: 60g (1 medium, sliced), Fresh basil: 5g (5 leaves), Balsamic glaze: 5ml (1 tsp), Olive oil: 5ml (1 tsp), Garlic: 3g (1 clove, minced), Salt and Black pepper: to taste

Recipe Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix 5ml olive oil with 3g minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. 2. Brush the outside of 2 slices of sourdough bread with the garlic oil mixture. 3. Place one slice oil-side down and layer 60g sliced mozzarella, 60g sliced tomato, and 5g basil leaves. 4. Drizzle with 5ml balsamic glaze. 5. Top with the second slice of bread, oil-side up. 6. Heat a panini press or skillet over medium heat. 7. If using a skillet, place the sandwich in the pan and press down with a heavy pot or pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted. 8. Cut in half and serve warm.
